Among the components of this system, if the metal substrate around the sensing element of the pressure sensor in the evaporative emissions canister purge pump is exposed to a halogenated mixture for an extended period, corrosion may occur. In such cases, a recall is being conducted due to the possibility of the engine warning light turning on and exceeding the regulated emission levels.</p>
