Due to problems with starter motor production quality, when starting the vehicle, the solenoid switch inside the starter motor may be worn and metal deposits may form. In this case, the vehicle may not start smoothly or may not start, and local overheating within the starter motor may occur due to a short circuit in the solenoid switch. This overheating may cause smoke or odors to be generated while driving or when leaving the vehicle, and in extremely rare cases, a fire has been identified, so the recall has been confirmed.
